Mookie Kabuki

That was fun last night guys. Earlier in the day I wasn't certain that I was going to be able to perform, because when I blurted out "I got dumped" at Cristi during the Outtakes show I was being totally honest.

It felt good to come hang with my new improv family to keep my mind off of that for a bit. So thank you all! Whether you knew it or not, your energy and humor were a huge boost to me.

See ya Wednesday!

I've been looking forward to these shows all week. Z- I know how tough it is to function after a breakup and one thing I really adore about playing at the theatre is that it's a safe place where you can really take your mind off whatever is troubling you. Hang tough my brother!!

Everyone did a stellar job and was very supportive and encouraging. I really appreciate that about our group - we build each other up.

Maureen - Japanese was fantastic in UN conference.
Peter B. - I loved the 185 joke-style (auctioneer meets private eye) on Friday.
Peter R. - Rutherford B. Hayes + carrying a dog on stage. This was the week of excellence in guessence games!
Tim - Great Sushi Truck Song on Friday. That slayed the audience!
Zach - I loved your opening line in Friday's Dog Show: "I keep eating but I never seem to get full!"
Jason - Terrific one-person scene. Hiding Easter Eggs was a interesting suggestion and you had a great discovery with the letter!
Cristi - Your schwartzenaggers always rock!

Mookie, I agree with all your comments. Strong performances by everyone (Don't forget Emily either!). Great job with the Kabuki, especially tapping the posst at the start.

Very fun show on Saturday (and I'm sure wildy fantastic on Friday as well - sorry I missed it). I have to say I prefer not having a lineup done ahead of time. And one of these days when I host I'd like to definitely run it that way. (shhh, don't tell Jason).

Zach- we got your back, friend. Hopefully some Stevie Ray's Therapy will take the edge off. Kirk Rodriguez dumped me in 6th grade because I was made gold badge Sidewalk Patrol Captain instead of him...was hard to see those little crossing guards for a while but time heals the wounds thank god. Can make for great improv inspiration too...

I too went through a breakup while in the troupe. I didn't feel like performing, just sitting and watching crime shows and eating Taco Bell. God bless the Chalito. But everytime I went to a show, I left feeling so much better and realized that it was just what I needed. Oh, and it feels a lot better when you realize they're just an alcoholic with a porn addiction. Oh wait, maybe that's just my ex. Well, hang in there!
