"If no one remembers you won a best actor Oscar, you might be Ernest Borgnine."
Poor Ernie got sacrificed on the high altar of cheap laughs Saturday. Perhaps surprising to many, he won a best actor for his 1955 role in Marty, which also won the best movie award. Per Wikipedia, "Because of Borgnine's longevity, Marty currently stands as the oldest film with a Best Actor performance from someone still alive. With the passing of Charlton Heston on April 5, 2008, Borgnine is currently the only living actor who has won Best Actor for performances given prior to 1960."

I really loved watching McCale's Navy reruns when I was young. It was a pretty good ensemble cast. I especially like that Tim Conway & Ernest Borgnine are the voices for "Mermaid Man" & "Barnacle Boy" on Spongebob Squarepants.
I really liked him on "Airwolf" too. But,MAN...what the hell happened to Jan Michael Vincent!?!?!?
